WOW! somehow I missed this post, this weekend. This is incredible and my favorite today. I see people along the path reaching for help, the trees (as people or family members) parting to create the way, to lead in the direction and the figure in the distance like Rodin's "The Thinker" symbolizing the thought process, beliefs, etc as guidance. This is very profound and beautifully depicted.

Thanks so much Debi!!!

Wow! Just Wow, Steven! So powerful with incredible movement and dynamics and colour and then the figure at the end/beginning of their way. Loved the description. big V/F and g+1 commented and shared

When I show this painting, I do not tell a story. I would leave it up to each mind to see. So many saw people in the flames, arms reaching for help. What so interest me, it all seemed to apply. From far away it did mean one thing, up close, another. The writing on the boarder actually shows how the meaning changed for me. The thoughts, each of God's commandments. I intended one thing, saw another and ended somewhere different. This was like a story that was written, while being written and never knowing the ending. Several of my paintings have done this, painted by my heart and not by me. It was as if I was telling myself something I did not know. I did seven like this and they are all dear to me. Thanks so much Catherine!!! Your time and heart are valued!!! Steven
