Simple Things............. For years and years I have pondered with this concept. Like a song, basic in all way, simple in everyway and the most beautiful thing ever heard. How is it that, one word can cay so much more than a million. It has taken years to figure out that simple may not be so simple. What a simple song or art does is generate complicated or detailed memories. When you mild focuses on each word, each color, the memories are able to flow. One thought, a thousand memories versus a thousand words and one memory. It is not the painting as much as the freedom your mind had to think. It is deep, it is definitely difficult to understand but, over and over again less seems to be more. My fondest memories are stirred by this piece, a romantic at heart and I love the quiet loving moments in life. God Bless and take care always!!! Steven

Steven, I so love color against a dark background ... this is pure, sweet beauty. I agree with your description completely. I have only infrequently been able to create an image that would be worthy of the word "simple" ... most of what I do is very busy ... but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. Love the brilliant glow of the light on the petals in your wonderful painting ... and the reflection is magic!!!! Beautifully done!!! l/f
